EZChildTrack

Kid Zone utilizes the EZChildTrack system for registration, scheduling, and billing. All families must complete registration annually through the EZChildTrack Parent Portal.

To register for Kid Zone:

1. Log in to your EZChildTrack Parent Portal (returning users) or create a new account (new users)
2. Select “Register” under Kid Zone
3. Complete all required registration fields
4. Submit your requested schedule and service selections
5. Pay the required registration fee

Online registration must be submitted no later than 3:00 PM on Thursday prior to the week of the requested service start date. Enrollment is first come, first served and based on staffing and program capacity.

Families will receive:

• An email confirming the registration request was submitted
• A separate email once enrollment has been approved and a start date has been assigned
• Enrollment is not confirmed until families receive an official approval email from Kid Zone

Your Kid Zone account must have a zero balance in order to complete registration and enroll.

Important Program Expectations

To ensure a safe and smooth experience for all children, families should be aware of the following:

• Weekly fees are based on enrollment, not attendance
• Absences must be reported through EZChildTrack
• Payments are due weekly and accounts must remain current
• A $5 late fee is applied to unpaid balances beginning Tuesday
• Children must be signed in and out using your PIN
• Children must be escorted into and out of the building
• Only authorized individuals listed in EZChildTrack may pick up a child
• Outside toys and personal devices are not permitted

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I pay if my child is absent?
Yes. Weekly fees are based on enrollment, not attendance.

Where do I drop off and pick up my child?
All drop-off and pick-up takes place at the main entrance of your child’s school.

What if my child attends Hamel or Midway?
Students from Hamel and Midway attend Kid Zone at Worden. Transportation is provided by the District to and from each school.

Does my child get breakfast?
Children may go to the school breakfast program at the end of morning Kid Zone.

What happens at the end of Before School Kid Zone?
Children are dismissed to school staff when the school begins accepting students (8:45 AM for intermediate, 8:55 AM for primary/preschool).

Do I still need to report an absence if my child isn’t coming?
Yes. Absences must be reported in EZChildTrack for all scheduled days your child will not attend.

Financial Assistance (CCAP)

Some families may qualify for the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) through the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS).

How to Apply

Families can submit new CCAP applications online:

• Takes 20 minutes or less to complete on a smartphone, tablet, or computer (English and Spanish available)

• Upload supporting documents directly

• Digital applications are for new applications only. Paper forms are still required for redeterminations, change of information, or change of provider

Parents are responsible for all Kid Zone fees until CCAP approval is received. Families are also responsible for copayments and any additional Kid Zone fees (including late pick-up charges) not covered by CCAP.

Primary (Grades K–2 and Preschool Academy) Kid Zone sites operate from 6:30-8:55 a.m. and 3:35-6:00 p.m. (Wednesday afternoon care will operate from 2:50-6:00 p.m.).

Intermediate (Grades 3-5) Kid Zone sites operate from 6:30-8:45 a.m. and 3:25-6:00 p.m. (Wednesday afternoon care will operate from 2:40-6:00 p.m.).

Children attending Hamel or Midway Elementary are able to attend Kid Zone at Worden Elementary. Children will be bused to Hamel/Midway at end of AM session. Children will be bused to Worden from Hamel/Midway at school dismissal.

Summer Zone exists to create a structured, safe, and joy-filled environment where children explore, build friendships, and grow in confidence. Our enrichment activities are balanced to meet the interest levels of all children while allowing the elements of play to be woven throughout.  Summer Zone maintains supervision ratios aligned with DCFS childcare guidelines as a best practice standard. 

Summer Zone is a DCFS license-exempt program operated by District 7, participating in annual Health & Safety monitoring through the local CCR&R agency and following DCFS best practices along with Illinois School Code and District policy.

Summer Zone is offered to residents of District 7 who:

• completed grades Kindergarten through 5th during the 2025-2026 school year
• were enrolled in District #7 Preschool Academy program during the 2025-2026 school year
